 Fiends in Jesus our Redeemer,
I write this note with a heavy heart. There has never been an occasion in which the Sunday gatherings for worship at Church of the Redeemer have been suspended for a prolonged period of time. The Episcopal Diocese of Michigan has issued a Pastoral Directive for Congregations and Missions to discontinue public gatherings for worship due to the possible threat of the Corona Virus (Covid-19).
With this Pastoral Directive it is incumbent on faith communities in our Diocese, including Church of the Redeemer, to discontinue public worship for the next few months. During this time I may be contacted at 313-544-3366 in case of need. Take this time and devote yourselves to the Daily Office of Morning and Evening Prayer which may be found online at www.commonprayer.org and is quite user friendly to navigate.
Please keep each other in prayer and check on each other during this time. You will be in my daily prayers and available by phone or arrangement of meetings for spiritual and pastoral care.
In the friendship and love of our only Redeemer, Saviour and Lord, Jesus our refuge,

Fr Robert Anthony Kerr, SCC, OSF, PsyS, PhD
